NY Post: MSN and AOL Talking Merger

In a deal that would unite two of America's corporate giants as partners in the Internet business, Time Warner is in advanced discussions to sell a stake in America Online to Microsoft, according to the New York Post. AOL would then be combined with MSN.

Poor AOL, nobody wants to own it for long. Maybe it will find a home where somebody will care about it.

The paper has perhaps the most annoying registration process I have seen online. They let you go through your whole entry as Mickey Mouse and then, at the end, tell you that mmouse@hotmail.com will be getting an email to confirm registration. Only after you respond can you view the story. And Bugmenot didn't work either. So there goes a paper I never need to read again.

B.L. -- Did you try more than one bugmenot login? I find that sometimes three or four attempts are needed.
