IBM "Blogvangelist" Sher Taton Launches New Blog

Look out Microsoft blog evangelist Robert Scoble. :>) Sher Taton, IBM "blogvangelist" and Worldwide Interactive Marketing Manager, has started a blog called Corporate Blogging to exchange ideas on "the new age of marketing."

Great to see this new blog from IBM joining other IBMers who are already blogging.

Taton has an interesting post today on pros and cons of hosting blogs on your company url or using a service like Blogger. I would not use Blogger because it doesn't have trackback, which is an important element for building an audience for the blog. My preference is to incorporate MoveableType, TypePad or WordPress into the company site.

Thanks for the ping BL. I tried to do my blog on Typepad but appearently somewhere in the past I had signed on there so when I tried to get on it needed a password which I didn't have so I tried to retrieve and it said it could take 15 minutes (who ever heard of it taking 15 minutes to get your PW sent to you?) so I waited, lost patience and created my blog on blogger. I think they will introduce trackback's one of these days - well I hope so. Have a great 4th!
