The real value of blogging, podcasting and other citizen media is evident today, as London reels from the cowardly attacks by terrorists on ordinary citizens. Citizen journalists are providing hundreds of eyewitness accounts and images -- like this cellphone photo from the London subway -- of the horrible events in London this morning.

I know all too well, what it's like to be in the midst of a terrorist attack. My heart and my prayers go out to those affected in London today and to their families.

On Londonist, which had a minute by minute account: "Yeah, they hit us. But we didn't go down. Londonist's sympathies go to the victims, and we like to think of the hot sweat that is breaking out across the brows of a fair few terrorist nutters right now - we're coming for you, you fuckers."
