MoveOn Petition to Save PBS and NPR Nears One Million Signatures
MoveOn.org, which was seeking 500,000 signatures on a petition against proposed Congress' cancellation of funding to NPR and PBS, has now reached almost a million signatures. You can learn more and add your signature here.
Public Radio and Public Television are my single choice for tv and radio news/entertainment. I will continue to support CPB financially and hope my government will also.
I believe it a responsiblity of our government, as a public institution, to support and encourage free and open discourse, news and comment. CPB programing is the only free and accessible source that I trust to give clear, open, integritous journalism.
