About.com, recently acquired by the New York Times, is on the move. Crain's New Yorkreports that About.com has signed a two-year deal with Kayak.com, a Norwalk, CT.-based comparison-shopping site for travel deals. Kayak, launched in February, was created by the co-founders of travel sites Orbitz, Expedia and Travelocity and counts America Online among its investors.
Jeff Jarvis of buzzmachine has quit his job at Advance.net to (among other things)work on About.com content development, on a consulting basis.
And MarketingVox reported that About.com CEO Peter Horton soon will be replaced with a younger executive, Scott Meyer, 35.
