The Ladder of Blogging Obsession

orchid_show.jpgMy favorite of the many lectures I attended at the 25th annual New York Orchid Show, was about the ladder of obsession of orchid growing. I'm at about a two on that ladder, with thnree orchids in bloom right now, and at about a seven on the ladder of blogging obsession.

How do you know when you're obsessed with blogging?
_ You check your blog before you brush your teeth in the morning and before you shut out the lights at night.
_ You check Technorati and PubSub at least 20 times a day to see how many posts are linking to your name.
_ You own a t-shirt with a slogan about blogging.
_ You scan newspapers for stories about blogging before you read the front page news.
_ You are blogging while you eat your meals.
_ You've turned down social plans so you can blog.

If you answered yes to more than two of the above, you're addicted.

And you probably can add three more indicators to the list. What are your sure signs?

You've registerd a website name for your dog's blog...
If there were more hours in the day, you'd fill them with blog posts...
You wonder if there is a potential blog about the world of orchids......

Your Blogroll of blogs you're following on Bloglines is more than 250 newsfeeds. Eeks. I'm 3 short. :(
You've given up on all newsletters and only read RSS newsfeeds.
