Flickr and Technorati Tags Help Chinese Students Protest Government Censorship

Rheingold reports that students in China are using the tags to track the story of their protest against government crackdowns on the most influential university BBSs in China. The government takes their posts off the BBSs, but they remain in tag reports.

China Digital Times says "This is a very effective way to aggregate "sensitive information" through a distributive process in a politically censored cyberspace."
