Technorati Falling Down on the Job

Technorati is a directory of blogs that also shows bloggers which other blogs are linking to their blog in posts. When it works, it's a cool way to see how many bloggers are talking about you. They claim to track 4.7 million blogs worldwide.

However, they seem only to update their links every week or so. And the links they show tend to be several days old when they do get around to updating them. More than half the time their servers freeze before results are shown.

Time to wake up Technorati. Lots of other companies are going to pass you by.
