Email From Hell Ruins Publicist's Campaign

I'm a big fan of Daniela Cendron, publicist for Silver Lake Publishing. So I wondered what was up when I started getting dozens of emails this morning from people wanting to be removed from her email press list. She piggybacks on the news with to-the-point-emails about books that are usually pretty interesting.

Apparently, a spammer or a virus got hold of her list and started generating mail that many people angrily replied to, which generated even more mail.

"I hope," Cendron emailed after dozens of emails annoyed everyone to death, "you will understand what's going on, and that it's not something we originated."

AP editor Eileen Powell comforted Cendron, saying "Daniela: Things happen. Don't worry. Just keep sending those great consumer books."

Why isn't Daniela blogging? Sounds ideal for her.
