Twenty artists including Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, Dave Matthews Band, Dixie Chicks, Jackson Brown, John Mellencamp, Ben Harper, Kenny ìBabyfaceî Edmonds, Pearl Jam, R.E.M and others will perform in The Vote for Change Tour (October 1-10) in 34 concerts in 28 cities in nine swing states.
Vote For Change, is "a loose coalition of musicians brought together by a single idea ó the need to make a change in the direction of our country." The tour is presented by MoveOn PAC, with all concert proceeds benefiting the work of America Coming Together (ACT).
In an op-ed column in The New York Times, Springsteen says: "This year Ö for many of us the stakes have risen too high to sit this election out. Ö It is time to move forward. The country we carry in our hearts is waiting."
