Latest Burger King Ad Ain't No Subservient Chicken
Miami-based Crispin Porter + Bogusky's ads for Burger King keep getting more lame. Following on the heels of the wild viral marketing success of the Subservient Chicken was a bizarre (but not in an interesting way) Eurotrash pocketbook designer named Ugoff. The latest is an inspirational speaker/12-step program spoof called Dr. Angus, whose diet advice is, "If it feels good, do it." I have no idea who he is supposed to appeal to.
The site is peppered with statements obviously generated by lawyers, including, "For entertainment purpose only" and "The Angus Diet is not a real diet." Duh!
It is such a shame that the company didn't continue to capitalize on the success of the Subservient Chicken, who's now been spoofed as "The Subservient President."
