PR Coup As Michael Moore Sings "America The Beautiful" On Tonight ShowJay Leno is brilliant! He orchestrated a PR coup for Michael Moore, by persuading him to lead the Tonight Show audience in singing "America the Beautiful." There's schleppy Moore, fatter than a house, telling the story of Linda Ronstadt being expelled by the moronic owner of the Aladdin Hotel in Vegas because she dedicated her last song to Moore. The bankrupt hotel has been sold to a new owner, and the new president apologized to Ronstadt and invited her back, with Moore, who said he'd join her in a song. Leno asked "what song?" Moore said he'd like to sing "America the Beautiful" and the next thing you know, he's got Moore singing his heart out. Wow! Fantastic PR. For Moore and for Leno! It doesn't get better than that.
