Martha Stewart comes across as a class act on her Website as she speaks publicly about her trial and sentencing. Notably, she says, in a letter and a video, "I am also deeply troubled, as an American, that I did not receive a fair trial.
She thanks the 175,000 people who sent supportive e-mails and says she is very sad, but not afraid of what the future holds.
Stewart asks that the public continue to support her company and notes that although this was "a personal matter," it spilled over onto her uninvolved company, because of the power of the press and the persistence of the government. Choking back tears, she thanks the employees who were harmed and who labor so very hard, doing such admirable work.
