Hilary Clinton Will Play The Little Woman at Democratic Convention

John Kerry has asked Hilary Clinton to speak on opening night of the Democratic Convention, but only to introduce her husband. Kerry bowed to intense pressure from Clinton supporters.

Says blogger Edward Morrissey of the Captain's Quarters Blog, "Well, this certainly will set minds at ease among the Democratic Ladies Auxiliary! It's nice to see that Kerry has found a gender-appropriate role for the current Senator. Obviously, she has no standing on her own to speak at the convention, in Kerry's mind, so it's a darned good thing her husband happens to be an ex-President. Otherwise, she'd have to go back to the Hospitality Committee and help out with the cookie-baking and cake-cutting duties, like all the other wimminfolkÖ. God help Hillary if she shows up in a pantsuit."
