Reagan Was No JFK

Rep. John Dingell : As someone who served with President Reagan, and in the interest of historical accuracy, please allow me to share with you some of my recollections of the Reagan years:
ï $640 Pentagon toilet seats;
ï ketchup as a vegetable;
ï union busting;
ï firing striking air traffic controllers;
ï Iran-Contra; selling arms to terrorist nations;
ï trading arms for hostages;
ï retreating from terrorists in Beirut;
ï lying to Congress;
ï financing an illegal war in Nicaragua;
ï visiting Bitburg cemetery;
ï a cozy relationship with Saddam Hussein;
ï shredding documents;
ï Ed Meese, Fawn Hall, Oliver North, James Watt;
ï apartheid apologia;
ï the savings and loan scandal;
ï voodoo economics;
ï record budget deficits;
ï double digit unemployment;
ï farm bankruptcies;
ï trade deficits;
ï astrologers in the White House;
ï Star Wars;
ï and influence peddling.
