Wizmark: Making Peeing Fun

wizAds.jpgHealthquest Technologies of Islip, NY believes peeing should not only be more fun, but also be an interactive marketing experience. So they've introduced Wizmark, a "New Talking, Winking and Blinking Ad Vehicle for Urinals" Can an ad zapping device for urinals be far behind?

Ad messages, a Wizmark press release promises, "are shown inside an angled waterproof display located within the urinal, with flashing lights that are activated either by someone's physical presence or by urination onto the screen.

The screen also emits a pre-recorded audible message of up to 16 seconds upon activation. Even before activation," the press release says, "the auto-animated winking of alternating images on the 3.5-inch lenticular (moving) display of the device is sure to catch the eye of any man seeing this novel ad vehicle for the first time."

"Beginning with early attempts at writing one's name in the snow, there has always been an element or recreation associated with urination for men," says bio-engineer Dr. Richard Deutsch, who invented and patented the interactive, plastic deodorizing unit for Wizmark. "Now when nature calls there is going to be something entertaining to look at and listen to."

The dynamics and social protocols of the screen's use guarantees at least one minute of undivided and undistracted visual attention along with the concurrent audio delivery of the promotional message to a captive audience. And, the company predicts that "early adopters of this new interactive technology will generate tremendous "buzz" amongst the amused smiling viewers."

Better to be pissed off than to be pissed on! I love it! I am in the ad business in Tulsa,Ok. We have a company here that does urinal sign boards but for us older guys who need reading glasses but don't wear them while peeing, We cannot read the board because it is to close.

I know all of us in the ad and pr business are always seeking ways to attract and keep attention to our messages, but some of you must be wondering who is going to wait a minute or more to hear a message from this silly invention talking back to you while you pee on it?
