Star Spangled Ice Cream for Conservatives With The Munchies
Star Spangled ice Cream, a company started by self-described "members of the vast right wing conspiracy," bills itself as conservative's answer to Ben & Jerry. The Website boasts that Ted Nugent ñ "rock legend, gun advocate and author of Kill It & Grill It, the best-selling cookbook for hunters - has tasted Star Spangled's new GUN NUT ice cream, and loves it. Nugent says he tops off the wild game he kills with a bowl of gun nut.
While the company claims its ice creams are gourmet quality, a NY Times panel of tasters declared that the best thing about the ice cream is its name.
Star Spangled Ice Cream says it donates $1 to the educational work of the Gun Owners Foundation Gun Safety Project every time a quart of our politically incorrect flavor GUN NUT is purchased over the Internet. A four-pack sells for $76.
ì[Star Spangled Ice Cream] misses the point. Liberals donít buy Ben & Jerryís for its politics ñ theyíre just looking for something to eat when they get stoned.î Bill Maher, former host of Politically Incorrect
